In 2026, the beloved ritual of receiving an inked passport stamp at a country’s port of entry is fading into the rearview mirror. Much of North America and Asia-Pacific stopped issuing stamps years ago, and Europe’s Schengen region is now transitioning to a fully digital, biometric entry-and-exit system, leaving travelers without a physical reminder of where they’ve been. The POAP Airport Rally offers a way to reconnect with that tradition. Starting January 1st 2026, travelers can mint a unique, commemorative POAP using POAP’s GPS minting feature at over 100 participating airports around the world. Each POAP carries artwork that is unique to that airport, and a special piece of trivia to help travelers connect with the places they are passing through. This POAP is distributed via POAP Airship, and serves as one of the qualifying tokens that unlocks participation in the POAP Airport Rally.

CTG is named after a former Colombian President, who also wrote the lyrics for the country’s national anthem. Rafael Núñez was a Cartagena native, and served as President of Colombia multiple times in the late 19th century.

MEM is the home of the FedEx Express World Hub, aka the FedEx Superhub, which is the FedEx central sorting facility for the entire world. As a result, MEM is consistently ranked as the busiest cargo airport in the world by annual freight tonnage for many years, only occasionally ceding the top spot to HKG or PVG.

DTW prides itself on a 700-foot-long, color changing ““Light Tunnel”” that connects Concourse A with Concourse B and C in the McNamara Terminal. The tunnel freatures 9,000 feet of glass panels illuminated by LED lights that change color in a choreographed display to a musical score.
